Pamela Foohey

Pamela Foohey is a Professor of Law at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law – Yeshiva University. Professor Foohey’s researches and teaches in the areas of bankruptcy, business, commercial, and consumer law. Her work primarily involves empirical studies of bankruptcy and related parts of the legal system. Her work in business bankruptcy focuses on non-profit entities, with a particular emphasis on how churches and other religious organizations use bankruptcy. She also is a co-investigator on the Consumer Bankruptcy Project, a long-term research project studying persons who file bankruptcy. Her work has been published in Southern California Law Review, Notre Dame Law Review, Boston College Law Review, and other leading journals.
