Bill Alford

Bill Alford is the Jerome A. and Joan L. Cohen Professor at Harvard Law School where he also serves as Chair of the Harvard Law School Project on Disability. He has long done pro bono work with Special Olympics International for which he now serves as Lead Director. His writing on disability issues includes, inter alia, one of the first books on disability rights in China and, most recently, an examination of the ways in which Peter Singer’s treatment of disability impedes his case for global poverty alleviation.
